I came to the Counseling & Recovery Services of Oklahoma Board of Directors as a Leadership Tulsa intern in 2014. When my internship was complete, the board asked me to join.

I personally understand the value of Counseling & Recovery Services. I had a close family member who suffered from mental health issues but did not receive the care needed in time.

That is why I am so honored to be associated with an organization that is providing care to individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues. Counseling & Recovery is providing care that is too often overlooked in the current health care ecosystem.

A 2004 graduate of Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, with B.S. degrees in accounting and management information sciences. I am assistant accounting and auditing director for BKD’s Oklahoma and Wichita offices. I have 12 years of experience providing accounting and auditing services to not-for-profit and for-profit hospitals, continuing care retirement communities, foundations, governmental entities and insurance providers.

I am past chair and current member of the Counseling & Recovery board’s finance committee. I am also active on the Emergency Infant Services board, a member of Tulsa Area United Way’s Emerging Leaders Society, BKD Foundation Tulsa Advisory Committee and former chair of BKD Oklahoma Employee Engagement Council.

A Wilmington, Delaware, native, I moved to Tulsa in 1991, so basically, I am an “Okie.” My wife and I have three sons.
