Board of Directors

Angela Dotson

Member / University of Tulsa/ORU

Dr. Angela Dotson is a nurse educator in the undergraduate program at the University of Tulsa and in the graduate program at Oral Roberts University. Her clinical background is primarily adult intensive care and surgical services. As a native Tulsan, she has cared for patients at each major hospital in the community and is passionate about connecting the underserved to vital resources. Her research interest are compassion fatigue and student success. Dr. Dotson’s research published in 2021 focused on compassion fatigue experienced by intensive care nurses during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Dotson was approached by a life-long friend about serving as a board member for Counseling and Recovery Services. Her compelling moral values, extensive healthcare background, and personal experiences with childhood trauma aligned for a strong partnership with CRS. She hopes to bring valuable insight, processes, and compassion to the organization.

Dr. Dotson actively serves her community not only at CRS, but also in the youth program at her church. She is a member of American Nurses Association, Oklahoma Nurse Association, National League for Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau, and American Association of Critical Care Nurses.  She is married to Matt, and they have two fur-babies, Casper & Lenny. Together, they enjoy traveling to the beach, going to Walt Disney World with their family, and going on mission trips.
